Mary Frost was born in Cork, Ireland. She has lived in Ireland, England, Nigeria and Canada (Newfoundland and Ontario). She has lived in Northwestern Ontario since 1983. She has published in magazines and anthologies, given readings and conducted workshops. She and her husband live just outside Thunder Bay, close to Lake Superior, on an old mining claim with twenty acres of bush and a beaver pond. Her book, Straightlines, was published by Penumbra Press (2003).
