Para-Tactics

Para-Tactics is a poetry group in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada formed in 2008. It consists of five poets who gather monthly to critique and encourage each other's work and progress. Our name, Para-Tactics, is derived from the term parataxis which refers to the side-by-side placement of often dissimilar clauses or phrases.

 As a group we received an Ontario Arts Council New Works grant to focus on creating material for an anthology. Almost two years later, our first book, Core Samples: Poems from Northwestern Ontario, has emerged. We hope you read and enjoy it as much as we've enjoyed compiling it.
